What's New!!!!

This page is to let you know what updates I have made

and what's going on in my life... (read: excuses why I haven't

updated the page)   :^)

December 21st, 2005:

Update:  Small update on  the pictures page. :)

What's Been Goin On:    How do you update a full year in one update?  You can't!  New job at NetApp, new directions in life, January will be one year with Sarah... and so much more!  A friend has said he is going to refurbish my website for my Christmas present, if that happens maybe it will make it easier to do updates and I will actually do it!

Upcoming:   Ah forget it, I don't know how I am going to catch up.  :)

November 22th, 2004:

Update:  No update, just a quick note. :)

What's Been Goin On:    The stuff I was talking about "getting" on the 17th was the topic of Damian's sermon yesterday!  :)  It should be up on the Crosscurrent web site in a few of weeks.  Here is a link to the Crosscurrent messages online.  Check out Sept 19th especially, it's one of my favorite messages.  :)  I'll try to remember to keep checking the web page and give the link again when it goes up.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Way too many to list :)  Some highlights?  My baptism last year, Luau 03' and Luau 04', Ed and Denise's wedding, camping, and much more.  :)

November 20th, 2004:

Update:  I added the Crosscurrent Leadership Retreat page and the Theresa and Patrick wedding page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    It's only been a few days since my last update, so not much new.  But I can reflect on the year.  :)  I have a new cat.  Cage, which is short for Cajun, thanks to Mindy for a good name. :)  I traded in my old 2000 Honda Civic for a 2003 of the same model (with some add-ons) and this time it really is silver!  (I checked the VIN number information online first!).  My sister adopted a Korean baby named Maeri and she is a cutie!  Smart too.  :)  I have some pictures from her Catholic baptism I will put up later.  I went skydiving again, what a blast!  Lot's of events and parties over the last year or so, most of which I have pictures to put up for.  =)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Way too many to list :)  Some highlights?  My baptism last year, Luau 03' and Luau 04', Ed and Denise's wedding, camping, and much more.  :)

November 17th, 2004:

Update:  I added a Gabby picture page and a Smithsonian butterfly exhibit page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    So it's been almost a month since I promised some updates.  :)  I put two pages up today and streamlined the process to create new pages.  You won't get to much commentary in the new pages until I catch up and that might be a while!  I have a lot of pictures to add.  However, I think I can do a lot of updating soon.  Work is slowing down as we are done with the Federal fiscal year and the ADIC fiscal year (ended Oct. 31st).

The church plant is ramping up and it's going to be fun and challenging!  We officially move out January 16th and it's going to be awesome!  We have been preparing for this for a long time and God has certainly blessed us tremendously!  We are going to be in an elementary school in Ashburn for a while until we get settled into our own place, but I think that's a good thing.  Crosscurrent is not about a building, it's about our relationship with Jesus Christ and about spreading the good news!

Well, what else is going on?  Well, I have been studying Romans in my quiet times every day and ya know what?  This is sort of embarrassing, but...  It's finally hitting me that I am truly free!  I have been living off of the freedom that God has given me through His Son's sacrifice, but when the sins started piling up, it was dragging me down, filling me with shame, until I fell under the weight of it and accepted His forgiveness.  But I don't have to do that!  I am FREE!  I really got it.  It's a shame that it took me this long to not just get it, but really GET IT.  He doesn't keep forgiving me and forgiving me, it is DONE.  I truly have freedom from the law, but still a desire to follow God's will (which is the law).  Confused?  Ask me about it in person or come see me at my church.  :)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Way too many to list :)  Some highlights?  My baptism last year, Luau 03' and Luau 04', Ed and Denise's wedding, camping, and much more.  :)

October 5th, 2004:

Update:  I added absolutely nothing! (except this update).

What's Been Goin On:    Wow, it's been a year since I updated this page!  A lot has happened in this past year.  I broke up with Danielle, I went on a journey of the heart that has really changed me.  I am so much stronger than I ever have been!  Since I have been a wimp hidden behind a dominating persona for so long, it was hard to face and deal with.  I am starting to really understand what it means to take a risk of the heart.  It started when I re-read the book "Wild at Heart" by John Eldridge.  I realized that I was hiding behind a mask!  Since then I have realized that it takes STRENGTH to allow yourself to be vulnerable.  :)  In a devotional book that I am reading by Billy Graham he put it like this:  Godly risk take three things.  Strength, Steadfastness and Submission.  The strength to take the step, the steadfastness to stick to what is right, continuing the fight and the submission to allow yourself to be vulnerable.  I have never really had all three, but I sure faked it well!

I have briefly dated two women since breaking up with Danielle and both taught me lessons in that vain.  It's been tough to allow God's plan to work and not force my OWN plan, which I have done...  It's been an AMAZING journey.  =)  But joyfully I am getting closer to God with every step!

On other fronts, Crosscurrent is going to plant as a new church in January and I feel like I am going to be able to make a difference for the Kingdom of God!  Yes, I finally took on leadership responsibilities.  I have been attending core leadership meetings for over a year and leading the Bible Study at my house for 7 months now.  There is much to tell about this church plant and how awesome God has been working through Crosscurrent!

I have been accepted at Regent University's Washington Campus to get a Masters in Practical Theology, but was unable to get into the class I wanted for the fall semester, so I will try again for the spring semester.  That turned out to be in God's will with all the church plant time I have been spending, I wouldn't have had the time.  I am so excited to go to Seminary school and dig deeper into the Word of God.  :)

Work is going very well, still with with ADIC, and they have been treating me very well and as long as the company continues to do well, I see no reason right now that would change any time soon.

OK, There is no way that I can put everything that has happened up here, so I won't try.  It will all play out as I update.  :)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Way too many to list :)  I have more pictures saved to put up on this web page than are already up!  I think I am going to create an automatic system to catch up and then add captions later.  :)

September 24th, 2003:

Update:  I added Sharon's birthday from April 2003 to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Well it was a fun hurricane.  :)  I little wind and a little rain, but nothing big here.  We kept power and phones with no real hiccups.  I did lose 2 trees unfortunately...  Danielle is happy that I lost one of them because she wants to plant a magnolia tree there. hehe  We've been playing with chainsaws since then, cutting up trees.  I am cutting the 2 trees down slowly and letting the garbage men take them instead of paying for someone to come remove them.  ;)

The other thing the hurricane did was postpone our King's Dominion trip.  We still are going, we just have to figure out when.  There were about 15 of us planning to go.  Danielle is doing an awesome job with events planning at church.  She has all kinds of ideas that she is working on for the next year or so.  ;)

Well I finished my cover to cover Bible reading and now I am hard core studying the New Testament.  I am reading every related passage to the verses that I am on.  So since I started in Matthew I am reading all the other gospel stories that relate to where I am at, as well as any New and Old Testament crossover and the study bible notes.  I'm moving very slow, but I like it so far, it's actually revealing some neat things to me.  I think I may have figured out a way to fast (like when Moses and Jesus fasted in the desert), since I have trouble fasting from food.  More on that as I work it out with God.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans, Luau03, Camping 4th of July, Crosscurrent Softball, Holly & Joe weekend, Danielle's Birthday, JP's baptism.

September 12th, 2003:

Update:  I added Todd's birthday from April 2003 to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    So Danielle has been enjoying the new job.  I think she has been doing it now for 6 months and it's much less stress than being an EMT on an Ambulance.  I get to see more of her too!  We celebrated our first year together this month, WOOHOO!  Danielle is such a sweetheart.  I can't say enough about how much she cares about me and everyone around her.  Her heart is just huge. ;)  Anyway, I won't say to much more on here since she's pretty private.  :)

I'm still getting used to the home ownership thing.  It's a lot of time and work, but very worth it.  I never realized how much I took for granted until I owned a house!  My neighbors have been a lot of help with the things I have questions about and who they use for services.  I'm slowly working my way down the street.  With my schedule the way it is, I have to actually plan on making time for those kinds of things.  This week it was Monday bible study, Weds move at Bob's, Thursday guys game night and Friday date night at Danielle's house.  The only night I had for spontaneous stuff was Tuesday night and I was happy to spend that with Todd and John N.  Oh that's another thing.  I'm really glad to have John back in town.  I didn't get to know him very well before he left for Florida, but so far I think he is a great Christian brother to know.  :)

Rambling again!  Like I don't do that in real live?  Come'on!  hehe  Anyway, my review from ADIC is coming up and I am looking forward to the input.  ADIC does reviews different.  They actually ask for input from all the people you work with.  They ask for good and improvable areas in your performance and then take all the input and the managers discuss it.  They then rank the people in each comparable area.  I think it's a neat way to do it.  Much better than one person, your boss, rating you.  It's more of a true reflection of your team work, attitude, work ethic and performance.  Of course I haven't actually seen the process, but I have both put input into others reviews and received a review from others input, and I like it so far.  ;)

Well, one more page down, several to go. :)  I am going to knock these out soon hopefully!

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans, Luau03, Camping 4th of July, Crosscurrent Softball, Holly & Joe weekend, Danielle's Birthday, JP's baptism.

September 10th, 2003:

Update:  I added Skiing at Snowshoe from March 2003 to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Wow it's been a while!  Things have been buzzing along as usual with little time to spare.  :)  Crosscurrent is soaking up a majority of my time, which is exactly what I want to do.  Working to expand the Kingdom of God makes me much happier than doing anything else!  Work at my job is heating up as the end of the federal fiscal year winds down, which means all the agencies spend the remainder of their budget on our products!

The storm that came through Sterling a couple of weeks ago ripped up my trees.  I lost a large chunk out of 3 trees, but I think they are going to survive... we will see.  Nothing hit the house fortunately.  My neighbor lost a huge tree that just missed our other neighbors front door.  It just snapped in half and fell down.  I was really surprised that this tree went down, it wasn't a wimpy tree.  Unfortunately, my neighbor on the right is selling his house and moving to North Carolina.  Really good guy and a nice family, and I hate to see them leave.  I have hopes for the new neighbor to be as great as they have been.  The good news is that he sold his house much higher than I bought mine for and I think mine is worth more.  I would say that my house is worth at least 25% more than I bought it for.  :)

I am doing the guys game nights at my house every other week now.  Pete Russo started a bi-weekly guys night at his house, so I asked if I could do the opposite weeks for video games and it's been a smash hit so far.  I built some new computers and refurbished the rest so that we have enough to play a good LAN party in the house.  :)  Danielle has her bible study on that night, so it's a perfect night to have the guys over and compete for king of the hill.  (King of the hill is the computer that displays on the 36 inch TV and uses the remote keyboard and mouse as well as the steering wheel for the racing games!)

I am less than 40 pages from my first cover to cover reading of the Bible.  I started in January and devoted myself to reading every free moment I get.  The challenge from here I think is going to be finding what to read when I pick up the Bible after I am done.  It's easy when I have specific topic in mind, which is most of the time that I read when I am not reading from cover to cover.  Well, I know that God will lead me, I just need to open up my heart to Him and let it happen.  Pray for me to continue reading the Word diligently everyday.  :)

I was honored when Chris asked me to give my testimony along with a few others for a video clip for Crosscurrent that showed how it has changed people's lives.  In other areas God has really been working on me lately.  I have been challenged by some of my brothers in Christ to use my spiritual gifts and time more efficiently for even greater purposes than I am now.  I don't know where God is leading me, but I know that whatever it is, He is the one that is going to do it, and I just need to relinquish to Him.  That's been the hard part for me lately.  =)  God is definitely working in my life and I can't wait to see what He has in store for me next!

OK enough rambling!  I haven't been bringing the camera to events so that I can catch up.  hehe

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans, Luau03, Camping 4th of July, Crosscurrent Softball, Holly & Joe weekend, Danielle's Birthday, JP's baptism.

July 21st, 2003:

Update:  I added Skiing with Crosscurrent from March 2003 to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    This update is from back in March.  Crosscurrent has a ski trip just about every year.  We went back to Ski Roundtop and had a great day!  The snow was fresh from a dusting and they said that they had good snow almost all year.  We could tell!  Danielle did awesome on the slopes.  She skied all the slopes on the mountain, including the blacks.  I think she will be ready for the blues in Colorado or maybe Utah if we can get there.  :)

Camping for the 4th of July was great!  We decided that tent camping was too much work though since we just wanted to relax.  So next time we are definitely getting a cabin. hehe  We took a day out to go see Williamsburg with Dave, Michelle and Maddy too.  :)  Then on the way home, we had quite an adventure!  You will just have to see when the page gets put up what happened.  hehe

Last week was Danielle's birthday, so we went out with Ben and Michelle for putt-putt right off of Route 7 and it was a blast!  The course was really funny and had some water and air that scared people as they golfed.  :)  We have pictures from Ben's new camera of the golfing and the desert at the Melting Pot afterwards.  Then I gave Danielle her birthday presents.  :)  She was really blessed for her birthday, so many friends and family heaped love on her!

We also got to hang out with Holly and Joe.  Danielle grew up with Holly since they were 5 and she Danielle's best friend.  What a sweetheart!  I really like Joe too.  :)  He and I just clicked on so many levels.  We had a great time with them Friday night and then went to Half Moon Beach on Saturday for some fun and sun.  When we were walking in we saw Danielle's brother sitting there!  What a coincidence.  It was the first time either Danielle or Patrick had been there in years and neither knew the other was going.  hehe

Oh and last Saturday I was baptized in the Rappahannock river down in southern Virginia. =)  Dave and I wanted to do it together and we couldn't make the last CFC baptism.  Chris (our pastor) suggested that we use a friend's fun house on the river to have a hang out day and river baptism.  I think about 40 or 50 people showed up and 6 were baptized!  Woohoo!  They had Kayaking, water skiing, rafts to play in, sand volleyball, a trampoline and so much more to play with.  hehe  It was really a great day to do it too.

It's really been a great few weeks.  The Lord has really been speaking to me and guiding my life.  I have been seeking Him for a while, and sort of felt like I was kind of lost, but I really feel like He is with me lately.  It's been a great growing period, coinciding with my baptism.  :)  I have been helping Todd with the Monday night bible study and I can tell I have a LONG way to go!  But slowly, I will get there. :)

Yes I am WAY behind on the pictures!  I need about a week straight to catch up!!!!  Well the good news is that I built some new computers for the house and upgraded almost all the others.  They are running sweet!  I still have a ways to go on some of them, but the end goal is getting close, and when they are all done, I can focus on the web page.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Snow Shoe Mountain, Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans, Luau03, Camping 4th of July, Crosscurrent Softball, Holly & Joe weekend, Danielle's Birthday, JP's baptism.

July 2nd, 2003:

Update:  I added Skiing in Colorado from March 2003 to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    This update is from back in March.  The Federal Sales Team had to fly to Denver, Colorado so that we could be trained on the new library product that ADIC has released.  (Make sure to click on the "Interact with the Scalar i2000 in 3D")  We knew it was going to be a grueling 3 days with 12 or 14 hours of people up doing PowerPoint slides (we referred to it as "death by PowerPoint").  So why not get some good fun and relaxation in before then so we could handle the sore butts better knowing that we benefited from it?  hehe

So we are all excited about camping this weekend!  Dave, Michelle, Danielle, Chantelle, Danielle's parents, and I are all going down to this camp ground somewhere in the Chesapeake area to camp for the 4th of July.  Danielle says there are tons of things to do at the camp ground and we have tons of food and tents and air mattresses!  :)  We will be going down Thursday night and we may go to Busch Gardens Sunday on the way back.  You know I am taking the camera.  :)  Should be fun!

More soon!

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Ski Roundtop, Snow Shoe Mountain, Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans, Luau03.

June 30th, 2003:

Update:  I added Madison's birthday party from February 2003 to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    The luau was a huge smash hit!  Danielle did a great job planning the even and I got very lucky cooking the 84 lb pig.  It came out nicely and was almost completely eaten at the end of the night.  :)  Tony came in town and had his camera and mine was passed around, so you know there are tons of pictures to look at.  Especially with so much fun stuff going on.  Danielle had the limbo contest, 3 piņatas, the chubby bunny contest (wait till you see that one) and much more.  We definitely have to do it again next year.  I think it's going to be an annual event.  =)

Things are going very well at work with the new product that ADIC has out, it's a smash hit.  But then of course working the Pre-sales technical side means we are working like crazy!  It's been kind of hard to keep up with the demand and requirements for customers.  But that's a great problem to have!  My friend Bryce moved to a new company that I found out has a bunch of my friends from SGI.  I talked with a couple of them about it and it looks like a great opportunity for them and I am excited to see what this company might do.  :)

Danielle has become the official events planner for Crosscurrent now.  She is great at events so this is going to be wonderful for her.  She will have fun doing it and get to serve the Lord and His servants at the same time!  I was asked to pick up the follow-up team again for Sundays and I have agreed.  I have a small team building and my hope is to build up someone who can take over and I can drop back down to just talking to un-connected people.  Pete and Laurie are handling the follow up phone calls so that lets me concentrate on building a team for Sunday.

I also was able to go see John and Laura Larson's new house.  Danielle and I went over there for dinner the other night.  What a great family.  :)  Laura got pregnant with twin boys, so now she is in a house with 5 guys!  Whoa!  hehe  They live a little ways out, but they have land and a huge house, so it works out great for the family.

Bible study on Monday's has been moving slowly through Romans, but the pace has been perfect.  I like taking our time to work through such a powerful book.  I started a short bible study and prayer group at work with some of the people there that are Christians.  It's just getting rolling, but the enthusiasm and acceptance from non-Christians ADIC folks has been very encouraging.

Ok I am trying to catch up on updates, but it's hard!  Time is a premium around here.  I am attempting to cut the picture quantity down, but I don't want to cut anyone out.  :)  When you start with 90+ pictures from every event, it's tough!  Next is the Denver work trip where we went skiing in March.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Denver work ski trip, Ski Roundtop, Snow Shoe Mountain, Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans, Luau03.

June 3rd, 2003:

Update:  I added the Darian going away page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Well the updates that I have in front of me are smaller than the few big ones that I have been wading through recently, so I should go through them pretty quickly.  :)  I think most are going to be one page small updates like this one.  I am also shrinking all the big versions of the pictures down to 800x600 to make it easier to upload and take less space on the server.  If anyone wants the full pictures, just Email me and I can send it to ya.

The luau may have more people than we expected, but it's alright, if we run out of food I'm sure we can send someone to the store to get meat and side items.  Danielle made some nice flyers for it and people are responding to the RSVP request and offering to cook and bring things.  Expect there to be plenty of pictures of course!  It's always fun when you hand the camera out and let people take pictures of whatever they come across.  hehe

The Monday night bible study didn't start on Romans this week because Todd was sick, but it turned out to be a HUGE blessing.  God has an amazing way of making things happen perfectly.  I am looking forward to a deep study of Romans though.  :)  Oh and He laid it on my heart to ask some of the other strong Christians at work if they wanted to do a half hour of prayer and scripture sometime during the week every week and what a great response!  Despite the fact that everyone will have to travel to the Vienna office from a distance, everyone is not just saying things like "yea ok, sounds good", but I am getting enthusiastic responses and I hope that enthusiasm continues.  It would be good to connect spiritually with the people I work with so we can keep the Lord in everything we do.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Madison's birthday party, Denver work ski trip, Ski Roundtop, Snow Shoe Mountain, Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans.

May 29th, 2003:

Update:  I added the Colorado ski vacation pages to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Wow, that update was the most pictures I have ever started with.  We had 250 pictures from the Colorado vacation we took in Jan/Feb.  I pared it down considerably.  :)

Everything is going good.  I finally have a home phone line!  I had been using the only line I had for dial-up (yes I am still on dial-up, no DSL or Cable here).  I was figuring to get DSL or cable soon, so I never got a second line.  I finally had the second line installed, so now I actually have a home line!  Welcome to the 1950s!  hehe

In June, on Flag Day, Danielle and I are having the second annual Luau (click here for last years luau).  This year we are getting an 80 lb pig and renting a huge tow behind smoker grill.  Danielle has gone nuts with the decorations, so I am going nuts with the food! hehe  It's gonna be a blast.  Tony, my friend from Dallas, is coming up to stay for that weekend and see Virginia (finally!).

We had a great time in New Orleans!  The wedding rehearsal dinner was a crawfish boil and Danielle promised to not only eat the tails but suck the juices out of the head of a crawfish at least once.  Well she ate the tails and sucked the heads of the crawfish, and she liked them!  The wedding was beautiful and it was great to see Jake's parents.  It's been a while since I have seen Mr. Joe and Mrs. Glenda.  We toured as much as we could around New Orleans in the short time we were there, and we plan to go back soon.  And of course there are plenty of pictures.  :)  I'm not catching up, just getting more behind.  At least that was the last big one, I think the rest are small updates.

Next Monday Todd takes over our Bible Study on Monday nights.  He is going to do a study of Romans from the New Testament first.  Rob Horan and he are going to do it together and do it separately in the two groups (the other one split off from us).  Lately I have been a little lax.  I still do my daily Bible reading and I still pray every day, but my focus seems to be off a little.  I'm not really sure why. :)  Maybe I will figure it out before the next update, and that will hopefully NOT be in a month! hehe

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Darian's going away party, Madison's birthday party, Denver work ski trip, Ski Roundtop, Snow Shoe Mountain, Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page, Smithsonian butterflies, Theresa and Patrick's wedding, Visiting New Orleans.

May 13th, 2003:

Update:  Just what you see here.

What's Been Goin On:    Today is a sad day.  I can't tell you how much my heart hurts.  Today I lost my best friend of 17 years.  Gabby meowed her way into everyone's heart that she met and was so spunky that people asked if she was a kitten as recently as a few weeks ago.  She swallowed a nickel some time recently and gave herself nickel-metal poisoning in her blood.  She didn't show signs of a problem until she suddenly got lethargic and stopped eating this past weekend.  There is no antidote for nickel-metal poisoning.  :(  She was so sick we couldn't operate to get the nickel out...

Gabby brightened so many lives for so long and had a wonderful life.  She loved everyone and was loved by everyone, no matter if they liked cats or not!  I can't tell you how hard it will be to not have that little cat following me around meowing for attention, or sitting next to me patiently while I work, or purring in my ear while I sleep.  As sick as she was, she purred as strong as she could while I held her at the veterinarians office.  She knew it was the end, but just wanted attention...

I am going to make a Gabby memorial page, with a collage of recent and older pictures.

Tomorrow I head to New Orleans for Theresa's wedding.  We plan to have lunch with Jake and Clare before they head to the rehearsal.  I haven't seen my dad in a while, so we plan on staying with them and visiting.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Colorado Ski Trip, Darian's going away party, Madison's birthday party, Denver ski trip, Ski Roundtop, Snow Shoe Mountain, Todd's birthday, Sharon's birthday, Gabby memorial page.

April 18th, 2003:

Update:  I added the New Years Pictures to the pictures page

What's Been Goin On:    Hallelujah!  Today, more than 2000 years ago, Christ gave His life for all of us.  :)  Thank you Jesus!

Last night I finished the New Years pictures and put them up, so I added a link just now to them on the pictures page.  Lots o' fun!  Make sure you check out the avi movies of both Ben's opening bottles of sparkling cider and yes Biggie Ben, you are a man! hehe  The movies are 3.5 meg a piece so it may take a bit to download them to play.  I decided to start shrinking down the main pictures that are pulled up when you click on the thumbnails.  Using 1200x1600 pictures sizes was just too big.  I think 800x600 is plenty big enough for the web and I am keeping all the original pictures so if anyone wants any picture in better quality for printing a hard copy, let me know and I can send you the file.  :)

Last Saturday Danielle graduated from the Steven's Ministry courses that she has been taking for what it seems like is 6 months.  :)  Her parent's and I went to the ceremony and took her out to an early dinner afterwards.  Can I just say that Danielle is awesome?  She brightens up my day and I know that she will bring smiles to so many faces with her work in the Steven's Ministries.

An interesting note.  I have been getting up early with no problem for almost a year now to work out and to study the Word in my quiet time and lately I have had a hard time getting up.  It's been the last week or two and I'm not sure why.  I'm blaming it on the change of seasons right now.  :)  I have noticed that in the spring every year I seem to have a hard time getting up and seem a little sluggish, until summer comes.  I have had to work out in the evenings to make up for missing in the morning a few times in the last couple of weeks and that sucks!

Ok so next is Danielle and I's Colorado ski vacation pictures!  That was a ton o' fun too.  :)  I was doing good and not taking the camera to anything, but I couldn't help it...  I took some pictures (just a few!) of Todd's birthday party and of Danielle's graduation ceremony.  They aren't as many as the others, so it should be that bad.  I am trying!

Well work has been going really well lately.  For a while there I was getting a bit frustrated about some things, but I gave it all over to the Lord and He changed my heart and changed the situation and made it better than I could have expected.  =)  It's amazing how easy it can be when you turn things over to Him!  Even though I wasn't that great in the last week about reading the Word as much as I have been, I am still on track to finish the Bible cover to cover in about 9 months.  Maybe 6 if I catch up on some plane rides.  ;)  I am still growing and learning about my relationship with the Lord, so that's what matters to me and what matters to Him I believe.

Don't forget to celebrate and praise God for sending Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sin!

April 4th, 2003:

Update:  I added the Christmas Day Pictures to the pictures page

What's Been Goin On:    Busy busy busy!  So things at work have been busy.  I was in Seattle last week, and I was in a far away Maryland place for a couple of days, so I stayed the night.  I am going to be at a 3 day convention in Washington DC next week and I will stay in a hotel with the rest of the ADIC crew.  The good news is that we finally brought in the new Federal Pre-Sales Engineer for the East Coast.  Hopefully he will come up to speed soon and split the workload a bit.  *crosses fingers*

Danielle has decided to quit volunteering for the Loudoun County Fire Department as a Fire Fighter/EMT so that she can devote more time to church and the Lord.  As much as I know she wants to continue volunteering I see relief in her heart over the decision. :)  Her new job is treating her really well, she loves working with kids, so it's a natural.  :)

I went skiing at Snow Shoe Mountain last weekend and what a great weekend to go!  Duane and Nick couldn't make it, but Darrin and I went and it snowed some really nice powder while we were there!  Sunday Washington DC wasn't the only place that got snow;  West Virginia got a lot more!  :)  We took pictures on the slopes, but I forgot to bring the camera with me when we walked around the village to check it out.  It's a shame since it was a nice little village.

Spiritually, things are going well.  I am growing at a good pace again and I think there are some shake ups that God has in store for me.  I have been praying consistently for the Lord to guide me where he wants me to go and how I should use my spiritual gifts and I think he is doing that.  :)  I have started getting up earlier and earlier.  I have been waking up between 5:30am and 6am to work out in the morning instead of the afternoons almost a year and now I am pushing it a little more by dedicating myself to 30 minutes of quiet bible study every morning before I start work.  It's working out pretty well and I think the Lord is guiding me more in my every day activities.

Something I heard a couple of months ago and I have been using in my every day life a lot lately is... We are not "trying" everyday to be more like Christ, we are "training" everyday to be more like Christ.  The difference is subtle but it means SO much to me.  Trying sounds so defeating and training sounds so hopeful.  Do you ever hear an athlete say "I am trying to get a Gold Medal in the Olympics today."?  No!  Because (s)he can't get that Gold Medal everyday, but (s)he works towards it all the time.  You will hear an athlete say "I am training to get a Gold Medal in the Olympics today."  That's what we have to understand as we go through life.  What the Lord wants is an honest effort and a heart for Him.  Does an athlete perform perfect every day?  No.  Does (s)he have bad days?  Yes.  But (s)he has good days where (s)he makes great strides and days where (s)he goes backwards.  It happens, its not the end of the world.  We just have to see the end goal and stay focused.  Don't let the backward slides get you down!  That is "bad" guilt.  That thinking hurts you and your relationship with the Lord.  It is the work of the devil.  "Good" guilt is the conscience that helps you see what is right and wrong and guides you through life.

March 23rd, 2003:

Update:  I added the ADIC Christmas Party to the pictures page

What's Been Goin On:    I would have had this update sooner, but have been busy busy with work.  I will be going to Seattle this week for a day and a half for a meeting, and I have been all over the Washington metro area lately.  ADIC has a new engineer coming on board that I think will help bunches, so that's great news.  Look for another update very soon, I already started on the page, just didn't have time finish it.  :)

Life has been pretty boring besides that.  :)  The war on Iraq has started and I have been watching it pretty closely.  I feel very strong that what the US is doing is just and will save American lives in the future.  I won't get to far into it, since that would take pages of blabbing.  I have friends out there and Danielle's brother Greg is over there somewhere, so we are praying for them, for president Bush and for our military leaders to make the right decisions.

Still working on some spiritual issues with in my life.  There have been some things that have come to my attention lately that I really need to work on.  Before I can be a leader for Christ, I have to develop my relationship even more.  I still fight an internal battle to fully depend on Christ in my everyday life and for my happiness.  That dang independent nature kicks in by instincts!

The New Years pictures are going to take a while, there are allot of them and even some short video clips!

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Christmas, New Year's Eve, Colorado Ski Trip, Darian's going away party, Madison's birthday party, Denver ski trip, Ski Roundtop.

March 18th, 2003:

Update:  I added the Thanksgiving pictures to the pictures page

What's Been Goin On:    I am working hard at getting these pictures up here as fast as I can.  I am sooo behind that I stopped taking the camera to parties.  We had 2 this weekend.  One for Salena's birthday and one for Chris Eads.

Our Monday night men's bible study had gotten so big lately that we had to split.  I was kind of torn about it...  You can't get to know and keep strong relationships with that many guys at one time, but I was sad to lose seeing the great guys that went to start the other group.  But the last 2 weeks have been awesome!  We are all opening up and sharing to each other and it really has been a blessing.  I hear that the new group is having the same experience.  God is so good!

Four of us from the Monday bible study are hoping to go to Snow Shoe in 2 weeks for a few days and get some last minute East Coast skiing in.  I am definitely looking forward to the skiing and the fellowship.  :)

I decided to add the ADIC Christmas party pictures even though some of them are a bit crazy.  Nothing outright bad, just kind of off the wall.  hehe  Those are next!

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  ADIC Christmas party, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Colorado Ski Trip, Darian's going away party, Madison's birthday party, Denver ski trip, Ski Roundtop.

March 15th, 2003:

Update:  I added my birthday party pictures to the pictures page. I now have over 1300 pictures on this web site. =)

What's Been Goin On:    So much!  I went skiing in Colorado again.  This time I had to go to Denver for sales training and Jon, Fred, Dianne, Rick and I went skiing at Copper.  (AGAIN)  We stayed in Rick's Townhouse and only went one day, but it was a great day.  :)  I want to go to Winterpark ski resort, and I have heard that I could ski A-basin, so I may try there.  I also want to go to Loveland, I had always thought it wasn't that great, but I heard different and it's closer to my cousin's house.  So who knows.  :)

Crosscurrent had a ski trip last weekend, so we went back to Ski Roundtop and skied all day. :)  It was lots of fun and has inspired me to look around here for some good ski resorts.  Possibly Seven Spring?  Don't know yet.  Time may prevent taking that trip though.  Of course have pictures from Ski Roundtop, and they will be added in order.  (Yes, I am 5 months behind right now...)

We had a going away party for Darian's Marine Basic Training.  We are praying that the Lord will protect him if he ends up in Iraq.  Keep him in your prayers.  We also had a birthday for Madison's 3rd birthday.  She was so cute!  Dave scared her to death with a huge stuffed bear.  We got pictures, but wish we had a video of it.  :)

It's been sort of tough spiritually lately.  I know I am growing and I certainly have made some great strides.  But it's always a struggle for me right now.  I feel like I am not where I want to be, that I am not growing as fast as I think I should.   I have now committed and stuck to a 1/2 hour of quiet bible study every morning after my gym workout.  It's pushing my wake up time earlier and earlier. hehe  I have been waking up a little before 6am every morning to work out for about a year now, and I really need to wake up earlier, since I am pushing 8am when I am done with my quiet times.

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Colorado Ski Trip, Darian's going away party, Madison's birthday party, Denver ski trip, Ski Roundtop.

February 21st, 2003:

Update:  I fixed the pictures page so that you could get to the Mary's Rock Trailhead page from it, instead of the bad link. :)

What's Been Goin On:    Things are going good all around.  :)  I went on a leadership retreat for Crosscurrent and learned a lot about myself and my relationship with the Lord.  I have decided to back off a little from the amount of time that I have been spending volunteering at the church.  I need to focus on my own relationship with the Lord first.  =)  I will still volunteer and eventually will ramp up again, but for now, I want to focus on my own growth.

We had a great time in the snow storm!  We had 8 stranded people here, so we had a snow party.  We dug out the barbeque pit and cooked some burgers in the snow. hehe  Then we played in it on Monday of course!  :)

I have been working on the pictures for the birthday party and have cut down from the 173 pictures taken to about 90 used.  I should have that page up soon I hope. :)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  JP's Birthday/costume party, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Colorado Ski Trip.

February 4th, 2003:

Update:  I added a page for our pumpkin carving party and added it to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Well, it's been a while!  Way too busy.  There is no way I could remember everything that has happened. hehe  Danielle and I just got back from 9 days in the Colorado Mountains.  It was a great relaxing time!  My friend Rick let us stay in his VERY NICE town house in Silverthorne which is between Breckenridge and Copper Mountain Resort.  We spent all our time at Copper since my cousin has season tickets there and so does Rick.  :)  It was my first real vacation since I joined the working world.  I have never actually taken a vacation besides a long weekend in the last 5 and 1/2 years.  :)  The Lord was with us the entire time too.  I spent a lot of time alone with my bible and God.  Danielle and I had our 6 month anniversary last weekend while we were in Colorado. :)  We took 250 pictures with the new camera too.  Of course I will NOT be posting all those pictures.  hehe.

Oh and I finally got the Hot Tub installed!  Thanks Brian!  We have really enjoyed it in the cold weather.  There is nothing like sitting in a 104 degree hot tub in freezing weather!  You would be amazed at how comfortable it is!  I should get some pictures of it and put them up.   Let's see, what else is going on.  Things are going well all around pretty much.

Crosscurrent is going great.  I am still trying to develop the Follow-up Team guidelines and procedures.  It's been good but crazy.  We have had a lot of new people coming through and it's still winter.  Summer is usually busier, so if I can get the team structure in good place by then, it sure will help out in retention.  I started reading through the Bible from cover to cover this year and I am already on second Kings.  It's amazing how much I thirst to read the Word of God now.  The Bible really has amazing stories.

January 1st, 2003:

Update:  I added a page for our bowling excursion and added it to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Christmas was great! Danielle and I opened presents and spent the Christmas Eve at my mom's (in separate bedrooms ;) and then had a great morning watching my niece and nephews opening their presents from Santa.  Those kids got so much stuff!  On Christmas Eve we opened some of our presents.  We got some good stuff, I got lots of things for my house of course. hehe  It was good food, good family and great fun. :)  We then head over to Danielle's families house and for dinner and more presents.  Her whole family was there to enjoy Christmas Dinner.  She has 3 brothers and an older sister, and everyone made it. :)

I then got the best present of the whole year!  I got a new digital camera!  A Canon Powershot A40. Woohoo!  It's smaller than the Sony, she got me a 64mb memory card so it holds tons of pictures, takes mini-movies and uses regular batteries.  (much better!)  I am so excited!  I have been taking pictures non-stop since I got it. hehe The day after Christmas was Danielle's mom's birthday, so the family came up and we went out to dinner at Big Bowl. Then we hung out at my house for a bit.  :)  Lots of pictures from everything of course!

Over the weekend we hung out with Holly and Joe and exchanged gifts. :)  (Of course there are pictures)  We are planning to head out to their house sometime soon to hang out and relax a bit.  They live a bit out in the country, so it should be a good break!  New Year's Eve Justin organized a group to go out to dinner, dressed all spiffy (yes I dressed in a tie and stuff) then we head over to my house and ring in the new year.  It was a blast!  I have tons of pictures and 2 movies of the two Bens opening the bubbly for the toasts.

Spiritually things have been kind of a lull the last week or so.  We have been so busy with the holidays, that unfortunately have taken my concentration off of my Lord and Savior.  I know that I will be refocused now and I have plenty to do for God. :)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Kids Pumpkin Carving Party, JP's Birthday/costume party, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, Christmas, New Year's Eve.

Update:  I added a disclaimer to my index page.  I am not responsible for cached versions of my web page.  If I have changed the web page and complied with requests, then I cannot control google, yahoo, or other search engine's cached versions of my page.  Thank you

December 22nd, 2002:

Update:  I changed Danielle's picture on the pictures page.  She absolutely hated the other one. hehe  I changed my picture on the front page to a more recent picture.  I also added the page for our Six Flags Trip and added it to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Well, Christmas shopping is done, and presents are wrapped and under the tree.  WoOHOo!  (Thanks only to my heart, Danielle!)  Things have been zooming along during the holidays.  It really can be stressful if you let it!  We went and hung out with Holly, Joe (her husband) and Holly's family for her birthday.  Holly is Danielle's friend since she was 5 years old.  She's a sweetie and we hope that both Holly and Joe can make it out to Colorado to go skiing with us in January. ;)  We hope!

We had 6 invites on the same night for Christmas Parties and such, so we made 3 of them.  We missed a bunch of parties unfortunately. :(  I have pictures from the ADIC dinner/Christmas party, but I am hoping that Fred will just put them on his page.  *wink*

On the house front.  Since I moved into my house, I have had an open door policy so that people can come over, hang out, watch movies and get quiet God time whenever they wanted.  Some even have keys to my house and while I am out of town, have get-togethers at my house. hehe  Darian refers to my house as "The community center".  :)  Danielle and I decided that my house was just too hectic with people coming and going all the time.  So we are choosing one night as "date night" and we will have the house to ourselves.  ;)  It won't change things much at all, but it will give us some peace and quiet we really need!

The Follow up team is growing and slowly with Jenni's help I am creating a more formal guideline and procedures for how we follow up and get people connected.  More people are signing up to help out on Sunday and during the week.  I think the group we are creating is awesome.  :)  Men's bible study is moving along really well.  Eric Jay is really pouring his heart into the guys and spiritual growth is obviously a strong desire of many.  Yay God!

Personally, I feel great about my spiritual growth.  I have started reading through the Bible from cover to cover.  I have certain times of the day that I specifically read the Word and it's working pretty well.  I have my prayer journal that I use to pray from at night.  I don't always update it every night if the prayers are the same as the night before.  I do have a little work to do about remembering to stop and pray all day throughout the day.  It's on my mind, but doesn't always happen.  At the very least I do say quiet prayers to myself and talk to Him when I have something on my mind.

What can I say?  Things are really going well for me!

December 10th, 2002:

Update:  I added the page for  Jenni and Jim's birthday and added it to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Trying to catch up of course. :)  Thanksgiving was better than expected for semi-bad reasons. heh.  Danielle was too sick to go to work Thanksgiving day, but not sick enough to be contageous, so I took her with me to my families Turkey celebration.  So Friday we got her parents celebration too!  Two turkey dinners, can you beat that?  We did most of our Christmas shopping for our friends and family early in the day on CRAZY Friday hehe.   I was in Denver for training all last week, so that was ok.  But Danielle and I are going back in late January for real Colorado skiing.  WOOHOO!!!  We are really excited.  9 days of relaxation and fun.  My cousin out there is going to hang out with us and Duane is going to fly out a few days after we get there, hang out and snow board. :)  My cousin is going to connect us with a local ski shop for better rental deals and I have a coworker who is letting us use his town house (same one as before) for the week.  What a deal!

There are some pictures from Thanksgiving and our 10 foot Christmas tree that we put into the living room.  It's awesome!  Oh and we put together the nativity scene that my parents gave me for my birthday.  Danielle did a GREAT job creating a bunch of ornaments and decorating my house for Christmas.  We went to Michael's (ok she dragged me to Michael's) and bought some bare bulbs, frost, paint, glitter, glue, etc etc. and she created some great ornaments for the tree!!  I will of course have pictures of it all soon.  *smile*

Things are going well with my semi-leadership position in Crosscurrent at Christian Fellowship Church.  I have a group that is growing and we are creating the guidelines and ideals that I hope will be a launching pad to an even better group once I'm gone. :)  Spiritually things are progressing.  I am learning every day how to trust the Lord with more things in my life.  Danielle and I are both growing together.  :)

November 27th, 2002:

Update:  I added the Mary's Rock Trailhead page added it to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Well it hasn't been a long since the last update, but things have change for me significantly.  The Lord has convicted me on a few things.  I am back on fire for Christ!  WoOhoO!  Danielle and I both got a fire lit under us by the Lord at the same time too.  It's pretty cool how the Holy Spirit works.  :)  She has been sick the last few days though, so right now I just get to take care of my baby and try to keep her from getting up and doing a whole lot. (does it work, no, but I try!)  hehe

I have accepted an official position within Crosscurrent at Christian Fellowship Church.  I am now the follow-up connections coordinator.  The entire new connections team has been redesigned with Mindy and Jenni co-leading.  Basically after the greeters and new people team talks with the new person on the first day, this new group is to following up, make sure that they get a phone call, try to make sure they feel comfortable the following weeks and then get them connected somewhere in the the church.  It's a completely new effort that has never officially been done.  I have recruited about 5 people to help me so far, and it's a work in progress (baby steps, baby steps heh).  I  haven't been able to spend as much time on it as I want to, but I will update as I work on it. :)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Jenni's Birthday Party, 6 Flags day trip, Bowling, Kids Pumpkin Carving Party, JP's Birthday/costume party.

November 24th, 2002:

Update:  I added the Carderock page and changed some notations on the friends page.

What's Been Goin On:    We had a great birthday party for Michelle Davis today!  Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the camera again! *smile*  As I speak, Danielle is making some great ornaments for our Christmas Tree (that we are going to get with Selena and Todd next weekend).  hehe  I can't wait to put together the nativity scene that my parents gave me for my birthday.  I will put up pictures of it. 8-)

This week should be good.  Danielle has to work on Thursday... :(  But we are going to her parents for Thanksgiving on Friday and having dinner at my parents Sunday night.  I am taking my friend Darrin from South Dakota with me to my parents on Thursday.  ;)  He just got back from a 2 years missions trip in Croatia.  He has great patience, a soft heart for people and passionate heart for Christ!  I wish he hadn't just move to Springfield, but I know it was the right decision for now...

I still haven't gotten my focus on Christ that I would like, but I am still growing.  :)  I am enjoying serving through opening up my house, talking to new and unconnected people and helping setup and breakdown on Sundays.  I look forward to serving more and putting my spiritual gifts to work.  I haven't yet been able to give total trust and faith to the Lord about the future of my life.  It's very difficult to do when you enjoy so much about your life.  I love my job, I love my house and my friends, and even though I know in my heart that God isn't going make me miserable with whatever he does with me, it's still not a done deed...  I am working on it!  Prayer time, and faith. ;)

November 14th, 2002:

Update:  I added the Funland page and added Danielle and Duane to the pictures page.  More of those kinds of updates to come.  :)

What's Been Goin On:    Well it's been a while.  It's been kind a crazy.  We had a GREAT time at my birthday party!  Probably between 75 and 100 people total and over 100 pictures of some GREAT costumes. hehe  Jake, my parents, Danielle's parents and my sister and her family were  there!  woohoo!  My parents and Danielle's parents hit it off so well, we ended up having dinner with all of them at my sister's house in Stafford. hehe  I am waiting on some pictures from others before I even start on that page. *smile*

Unfortunately, Danielle had a death in the family and we drove down to North Carolina for the funeral late last week.  It was nice to meet the rest of her family, but I wish it had been at a better time...  I like her oldest brother, I roomed with him.  ;)  It was neat to see where Danielle grew up as a little girl.

I was in Baltimore all this week for a sales meeting, and will be there 2 days next week for a convention.  I hate traveling now... it takes me away from Danielle and my church.  At least I am still working on growing spiritually.  I think the Lord has already been a great source of strength for Danielle and I's relationship.  I know I am no where near where I want to be with Christ, but His spirit is in me and has done some great things in my life!  I have been a little more stagnant than I wanted to be the last couple of weeks, but I am getting focused again now.  ;)

October 28th, 2002:

Update:  I added a the Smithsonian page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    What a great weekend!  Friday we had a nice quiet house to relax in.  We needed it to prepare for the crazy weekend that we had coming.  :)  Saturday was spent cleaning, and preparing for the pumpkin carving party on Sunday and the costume party that she is throwing this coming Friday.  We originally had planned to have a few of us go to the DC Armory Haunted House on Saturday night, and it turned out to be a 3 car caravan into DC.  hehe  Unfortunately for the group, I got us lost in DC for a little bit on the way there!  Ack! *sweet smile*

Sunday was a great day!  Danielle put together a party for our friend's kids to carve pumpkins and make silly faces.  She set up games and prizes and all kinds of stuff.  She rocks yet again.  ;)  We have tons of pictures, and I was really happy to see my sister and her kids.  =)  Yet another thing on the list of pages to put up!

Spiritually, things are going really well!  God is definitely working in my life, and I am trying to grow into His love.  I have decided though not to push myself to hard.  I have been striving so hard to grow, that I have forgotten what He really wants sometimes.... my heart and worship.  I have still been working through the Prayer Experiment book, and CrossCurrent did a REALLY powerful service this past Sunday.  They totally threw out the idea of what a church service is, and created an awesome experience that brought God into the room.  You can't understand unless you were there, and unfortunately they had a power surge at the end and lost the video and audio recording of it.  Doh!

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Rock climbing, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and Fun Land/Caleb's Bday, 6 Flags day trip, Bowling, Kids Pumpkin Carving Party.

October 22nd, 2002:

Update:  I added 4 pages for the Luau we had last spring.

What's Been Goin On:    Things have been getting slower at work and I am pretty much caught up!  Woohoo!  We are going to the Fright House this weekend in DC, that should be fun.  :)  We forgot the camera when we went to the corn maze, but we brought it with us when we went cosmic bowling the other night.  ;)  As soon as I get rid of one update, another one adds to the backlog list!  hehe

Danielle is throwing a costume party at my house the day before my birthday to celebrate it. :)  She has done allot to prepare for this, and it's going to look great!  I think we are going to have a bigger turn out than we did for the luau, which should be interesting!  We already have our matching costumes of course.  hehe

That book that I was going through called "The Prayer Experiment" has hit some really hard issues.  One of which is giving forgiveness and asking forgiveness.  The theory is that if you have outstanding issues with someone, whether it is your hang up or someone else's pain, then it interferes with your communications with God.  He can feel that pain.  I am fine with giving forgiveness to people who have wronged me, but going to others and asking forgiveness without any excuses or reasoning is sometimes hard.  Not so much to people in my close circle of friends or family, but to people I don't know very well that I may have wronged.  There are a few people that I need to do this with, that I am not so sure how to go about it.  I know that it is possible and in some cases probable that they will not forgive me, but in order to be right with Christ, I need to do it...

October 8th, 2002:

Update:  I added a page for Danielle's surprise B-day party to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    I have been really busy lately trying to slow down. heh  I can't ever seem to slow down.  Work is getting more manageable lately, so that's good.  I think I am almost caught up.  I know November through January are easy months, so I am looking forward to it.  We are planning a ski trip out to Denver this ski season, so that should be fun!  I forgot about our trip to 6 flags and the pictures we took. heh OOPS.  So they are now in the queue for putting up on the site. *smile*  I keep forgetting to bring the digital camera with us.  We went to a Caps game last weekend, and of course forgot the camera... We are going to the corn maze in Leesburg this Sat night, so I hope I remember the camera. hehe I wanna catch some scared faces with a flash!  =)

Danielle and I have really been getting into God's Word lately.  It's so exciting to have someone who truly wants to seek Christ out too!  We are both very committed to serving Him and living life how God has asked us to.  Trading scripture, reading together, praying together, it all brings us closer to God together!  Put that with how sweet, kind, beautiful and fun she is and you have an awesome girlfriend!

Robert Rummage put together a 28 days of prayer book that CrossCurrent is going through together and it's really cool!  It helps bring you back into focusing on Christ again. :)  I have really seen a difference in my life when I am focused on Him and not.  Even when you are going to church and thinking about God, if your not focused and really giving everything to Him, it makes a huge difference!  As my bud Todd says, "It's all about faith, everything falls into place when you have faith."  It's so true, if you have faith that He has a plan and will make it all work out, then it will.  It may not be how you expect... but it WILL work out.  If you try to do things in your own flesh, forget it...

Upcoming:   I really need to redo all my main pages.  Friends, index, pictures, all of them.  Backlog web pages left include:  Luau, rock climbing, Smithsonian, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and Fun Land/Caleb's Bday, 6 Flags day trip...

September 26th, 2002:

Update:  I added a temp page for some pictures. :).

What's Been Goin On:    I convinced Danielle not to do too much to my house.  :)  I got sick while I was out in Denver and she felt pity.  *evil grin*  She did however fill my room with balloons!  With the help of Ben and Michelle (thanks guys :-P ) she pumped up hundreds of balloons and filled my bedroom! hehe  I was still sick when I got back so she took care of me and over the weekend.  Have I said lately that Danielle ROCKS?!?  hehe  Check out the temporary page to see, it also has a picture of Gabby laying with me while I was sick. :)  I missed the whitewater rafting trip because I was sick, so no pictures from me.  :(   Work has been *extremely* busy and probably will be until after the first week in October.  The end of the federal fiscal year means lots of work for pre-sales federal accounts!  (everyone wants to spend the last few dollars they have before it is taken away.)

Spiritually, things are going really well.  I have been working on getting my focus on God everyday, and making it an instinctual reaction instead of a something I have to think about.  I know that will take time, so I will keep working on it.  ;)

I hope to get to some of these pages soon.  No guarantees. :)

Upcoming:   Backlog web pages left include:  Luau, rock climbing, Danielle's surprise birthday party, Smithsonian, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and Fun Land/Caleb's Bday...

September 16th, 2002:

Update:  I added a page for Conrad's going away party to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Lots going on!  We went to a DC United game at RFK, but I forgot the camera.  Doh!.  ;)  Spiritually, things are going excellent.  I am getting better about using my prayer journal and my quiet time.  Chris Eads, our pastor at Crosscurrent, is doing a great discipleship course every other Sunday night.  It's giving me allot of material to work with.  I missed CT again this round because I had to fly out to Denver. :-/  I am still in Denver right now for some software testing in the lab.  I met another wonderful Christian on the plane though!  It's great when someone breaks out their bible right next to you.  ;)

I am dreading getting home Thursday.  heh  Danielle is threatening to redesign my house while I am gone.  Ack!  Pictures of that will be taken for sure.  *smile*  We are going White Water Rafting this weekend with CFC, so I think we will have plenty of pictures.  And since I have a scanner now, I will be using a disposable and getting some wet shots!  (I hope)

Upcoming:   There is still a ton left to do. ;)  Backlog web pages left include:  Luau, rock climbing, Danielle's surprise birthday party, Smithsonian, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and Fun Land/Caleb's Bday...

September 2nd, 2002:

Update:  I added a page forwarder to a cute page.  :)

What's Been Goin On:    We went to the Smithsonian today just to take Katka before she leaves the area.  ;)  More later.

Upcoming:   Add the pictures from the Smithsonian today to the list.  There weren't many, but there were some good ones. ;)  Backlog web pages left include:  Conrad's going away party, Luau, rock climbing, Danielle's surprise birthday party, Smithsonian, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and Fun Land/Caleb's Bday...

August 31st, 2002:

Update:  I added a new CFC Softball to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    I'm still trying to slow down.  I have been trying to keep quiet time with God a priority, so I don't make the effort to get out and do things and so far it's slowly starting to work.  :)  I still do a little to much, but it's better than it was before.  Today was a particularly good quiet day because we were going to go to Six Flags today, but decided to go next week when Duane could go, and upon reflection realized any day on labor day weekend wasn't a good choice of day to go anyway!  So next Sat we are going to check it out.  :)  I've gotten allot done around the house instead!  Woohoo!!  (including this update hehe)

Spiritually it has been another great week.  I think the last 2 weeks have been the best and closest I have been to the Lord since I have become a Christian. My focus has gotten much clearer.  :)   I have been spending more time with Him and I am starting to learn how to listen to Him better.

I think I will have a scanner soon, and then I am in REAL trouble.  I have tons of regular pictures from WAY back, including pre-college to scan and I also have friends bringing over pictures that they want me to scan and use... What am I getting into!?!?! hehe  Oh and a friend is giving me a mountain bike on Sunday, I want to get it and get on it before winter hits and I can't use it!  You probably won't see many pictures from that though.  ;)

Upcoming:   I have one major update left... the Luau, the rest aren't that bad.  Backlog web pages left include:  Conrad's going away party, Luau, rock climbing, Danielle's surprise birthday party, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and Fun Land/Caleb's Bday...

August 26th, 2002:

Update:  I added a new CC beach retreat page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Well, it's been a crazy week. We went down to Fun Land in Fredericksburg and had a GREAT time.  We surprised Caleb with a birthday party at my sisters house in Stafford on the way down.  He didn't even know that we knew it was his birthday! hehe  My sister picked up a cake for us and had it ready.  hehe  I have pictures of us and will get to them as I can.  ;)

I ran into some issues with a friend that I care deeply about, but don't understand the attitude or behavior.  I have some ideas as to why it has happened, but I was unable to get resolution in discussion.  I don't need stress in my life, so I have discussed my issues with that person and distanced myself until there is some change in the discussion.  I am actually quite at peace with everything.  I have prayed about it and I feel good about where I am and what I said.  :)

On the spiritual side, it has been a great week!  I have been into the word allot more lately, and trying to get into the habit.  It's frustrating that I forget even though I want to do it.  He is the most important thing in my life, yet I forget?  That doesn't make sense!  Ah well, I am working on it, and getting better all the time.  The Lord has been leading me down a path that I needed to see a while ago, but didn't find without his help.  I have been going to a McLean Bible service during the week, and it's really in your face, call you to the mat about following God's will.  I love it.  ;)  Also, our pastor Chris is holding a core community meeting and it seems like it's going to be great.  ;)  He is giving us allot of work to do in between the meetings, but that's all good, it will just help me get in the habit.

I have more to say, but no time to say it.  :)

Upcoming:   Got a major one out the way by doing the Va Beach Retreat.  Backlog web pages left include:  Conrad's going away party, CFC Softball league, Luau, rock climbing pictures, and Danielle's surprise birthday party, Mary's Rock hiking, Jenni's Birthday Party and now add Fun Land/Caleb's Bday...

August 19th, 2002:

Update:  I added 2 new pages to my Christian testimony.

What's Been Goin On:    I was cleaning up files in my local web page directory and found 2 pages I wrote and never linked earlier this year. (When I got the new site I just copied everything over and didn't realize all the old and outdated stuff I had in it!). hehe  :)  These pages are sort of like journal pages of thoughts that I was having back when I was struggling with Christianity.  I wasn't sure if I wanted to post them or not, but all of my church friends keep giving me a resounding "YES" when they read it... so I did.  :)  It's pretty interesting to have this snapshot of my thoughts. ;)

Now that I have my local copy cleaned up, I need to clean up the web server of all the crap. heh  Oh well maybe I will do a rm *.* and recopy everything over from the local server one day.

Went hiking up in Shenandoah with Danielle.  :)  We have been planning to do Old Rag for a long time, and finally got out there, but we ended up doing Mary's Rock Trailhead because it was shorter and we got out there too late.  heh  It was awesome!  It takes you to the top of the mountain and you could see in every direction for miles.  We originally planned to do it Sunday, but Jenni's birthday party was more important and was right after church, so we moved it to Sat. :)  Of course I got pictures of BOTH to add to the list of un-posted fun stuff.  ;)

Upcoming:   Still doing easy stuff because of lack of time.  I don't expect to have much time this week...  Backlog web pages left include:  Conrad's going away party, Crosscurrent Va Beach Retreat, CFC Softball league, Luau, rock climbing pictures, and Danielle's surprise birthday party, plus now add: Mary's Rock hiking and Jenni's Birthday Party...

August 14th, 2002:

Update:  I added Jake's Crawfish Boil page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:    Just got back from Detroit.  Yuck.  That city needs lots of prayer...  The part I was in seemed hopeless and desolate.  :(  Homeless and hopeless people were everywhere.  It really disturbed me, but I think it was a good thing.  I have gotten comfortable in Northern Virginia, sort of a protected world of the wealthy.  The Lord obviously had a reason to send me there on business.  I now have a better perspective of how blessed I am and all that He has given me.  I'm not sure what He wants me to do from this, or if He even wanted anything but a slap in the face.  I am praying about it.  :)

I finally signed up for the white water rafting trip!  :)  As Jenni said "Lots of cool people are going so we have to go."  hehe  I doubt I will bring my camera, but I will have a disposable one.  Someone gave me a scanner, so I am thinking of scanning pictures from some things I didn't bring the camera to.  I don't know if the scanner works yet though. It looks old and a little ragged.  :)

Upcoming:   I put up Jake's crawfish boil pictures not because it was chronologically next but because it had the least amount of pictures!  There are over a hundred each in 3 of the updates left!  Backlog web pages left include:  Conrad's going away party, Crosscurrent Va Beach Retreat, CFC Softball league, Luau woohoo!, rock climbing pictures, and Danielle's surprise birthday party.

August 11th, 2002:

Update:  I put up my story of how I found Christ.  READ THIS!  It is a testimony to His greatness!

What's Been Goin On:    This past week the Lord has pretty much told me what He wants from me.  I have been wondering what He wanted me to do...  Quit my job?  Go into pure service of Him?  Work and minister to others in the workplace?  Serve Him as a regular Church member?  Become a leader in the Church?  I was working hard at developing a deep relationship with Him so that I could hear His direction.

Well an amazing this happened.  Last weekend I got His answer very clearly about this.  Stay in my career for now, minister as I meet people in that job, and build a relationship with Him.  Just relax and listen, He will tell me where to go from here.  Right as I made this decision I met 2 ladies on the plane to Orlando.  They were awesome!  There was a book they were studying together called "Experiencing God" by Henry T. Blackaby and Claude V. King.  Guess what it's about?  Learning how to follow the will of the Lord!!  How to develop a relationship with the Lord so you can hear Him when He speaks to you!  If that's not the Holy Spirit working I don't know what is.

When we left the plane one of them handed me a copy and told me she didn't know why she was buying an extra copy of the book when she bought it, but now she knew.  *melt*   I am reading it now and I think I will be rereading it again and again!

Upcoming:   It's going to be a bit crazy for a few more days, but I hope to settle everything down and get some of the web pages that I am behind on up soon.  Backlog web pages include:  Jake Crawfish Boil 02', Conrad's going away party, Crosscurrent Va Beach Retreat, CFC Softball league, Luau woohoo!, rock climbing pictures, and Danielle's surprise birthday party.

August 8th, 2002:

Update:  I have my own web address finally! :)  Nothing other than that. :-P

What's Been Goin On:  It's been almost a month again!  Jeez.  hehe  Ok, I have completed my Christian Testimony in Word form, but haven't decided how I want to put it on my web page yet.  That will probably come soon.  I am debating on whether to just put it up as a separate document, or to add it to the about me section or make a whole new Christian section.  I'm making it all too complicated! heh  I probably will just put it up without thinking when I have time one day. hehe

In the last month an interesting thing happened to me though.  I got so wrapped up in the rock climbing, and friends, and parties, and events, etc, etc, that I started to drop off on my quiet time with God.  I started to feel a drift away from the Lord, and soon figured out that I wasn't spending any time with Him!  Doh!  So I now limit myself to rock climbing once a week and put quiet times on my schedule.  It's working so far. :)

As far as things I have done, I can't list them all!  We have had fondue parties, pool parties, birthday parties, going away parties, been to a water parks *dunk Danielle*, been to Disney World (!) and that's all I can think of at the moment. hehe

Upcoming:   Testimony coming soon.  Now that I have a real web site, I will put up the 7 backlog pages.  *big smile*

July 9th, 2002:

Update:  Added the Sterling move page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  Oh my!  I can't believe it's been almost a month since I updated the page. LOL  What's been going on?  Well I have been growing closer and closer to Christ every day.  I really can't believe the difference it has made in my life.  No matter what is thrown at me, all I have to do is give it to Him and it all works out.  I have been really into the Word lately, and I am learning allot about the Lord and myself.  I need to write down my testimony and put it up on my about me section.  My life is a little different than most testimonies I think.  (well of course I think that right? hehe)  I'm going to work on it soon.  Also Broadband is coming, it's taking a little longer to get installed than I thought, but heck it's not that bad.  I rarely use the internet besides work.  I can't wait for my VPN to work again though!

Well I picked up a new hobby.  I can't ski during the summer, so I had to find something!  I found rock climbing and man is it fun!  I love it.  I did indoor rock climbing for a while at Sport Rock across 7 from my house (everything is so dang perfectly placed around here).  Now I started doing outdoor climbing and it's even MORE fun!  I love it.

Upcoming:   I still have a ton of pictures to add.  I stopped taking the camera to anything at all accept out door rock climbing at Carderock the other day.  I don't want to add any more backlog!  I think once broadband gets installed I will get inspired to actually sit down at the computer a few hours and do the stuff I have.

June 11th, 2002:

Update:  Added Bob and Jenn's wedding page to the pictures page and changed some things on my friends page.

What's Been Goin On:  Things have been busy.  (when are they not?)  I am finished with the traveling for a while. :)  I expect to be home and able to focus on the Lord again for a while.  Now I just need to slow down the activities here at home. :)  With all the fun stuff, volleyball, softball (which I have pictures from our church league coming), hiking, festivals etc. I need to stop and get some quiet time for me!  Before this traveling I did a couple Days Alone With God (DAWG hehe) out in Shenandoah and it was wonderful.  I have really felt the Lord working in my life lately.  All I can do is praise and worship Him to thank His touch in my life.  So I am going to do more DAWGs and quiet time to focus on Him now.

Upcoming:   I have tons of picture pages to add.  I will add the Virginia Beach retreat from June 1st and 2nd soon.  I also will be adding another about me page to update where my life is.  So much has changed in the last few months, it's amazing. =)  I have some people to add to my friends page... time, time, if only I had more time...

May 28th, 2002:

Update:  Just info on this page.

What's Been Goin On:  Wow.  Where to start!  Well the Lord really has worked in my life allot lately.  All I can say to sum it up is PRAISE JESUS CHRIST!  The Men's Bible Study that has been at my house for over a month now is going great.  I feel like I am drawing closer to God every day.  Thank you Jenni, Ken, BenD, Ben (Wild Man!),  Michelle, Paul, Mindy, Chris, Bob, ChrisE, Duane and so many more I can't name.  All of you have had such a huge impact on my life.

I have tons of updates to add.  Weddings, day trips, hiking trips, the moving party, spontaneous parties, cookouts, crawfish boils, you name it! hehe  I was going to wait until I got the home server up to do them, but I can't wait on one of them.  Bob and Jenn's wedding will go up in a week or two.  I am going to try to work on it soon.  :)  I will have to add an "about me" page just to add all the new stuff.  hehe  I won't have time this week with the sales conference and then we have the Crosscurrent/CFC Virginia Beach retreat this coming weekend.  (oh no more pictures to add! ack!)  Maybe next week. :)

Upcoming:   Bob's wedding is the only one I will add before the home server comes up.  That probably will be it until late June when Adelphia gets the 2 way modem up. =)

April 7th, 2002:

Update:  I added two pages to the pictures page.  Quantico Obstacle Course page and MY NEW HOUSE PAGE!. :)

What's Been Goin On:  The Lord has been working in my life in so many ways.  All I can say is thank you Jesus for everything!  Ok, so I am buying a house!  I haven't put anything up since I put the contract on it because this page is jinxed.  But we close on Friday and everything is going smoothly.  No worries at all.  I'm so freakin' excited!  I won't get to Colorado again this season for skiing obviously. I have too much work to do here. :)  I have been going through boxes and getting ready for the move (i.e. throwing allot away) for weeks.

The Quantico obstacle course was a blast!  Thanks to Conrad and Charlie for setting it up and to Jake for helping host us.   :)  We had about 7 CFC people there to hurt our bodies. hehe  Lot's of other things going on...  I have an idea to add some neat features to my page, but I think I'm going to wait, and redo the entire page and add stuff when I get moved in and settled.

Upcoming:   Tony is getting married in New Orleans next week (yes, that's right I will not be at the signing of my own house LOL), so I will have pictures from visiting my Dad and from the wedding. =)

March 27th, 2002:

Update:  I added two pages to the pictures page.  SkiRoundTop with CFC and Copper Mountain Skiing in Colorado. :)

What's Been Goin On:  Well, I wrote a few pages about the spiritual journey I have been on, and even posted a couple of them for about an hour a while back.  But even though I want to share this awesome experience with my friends and family, it is quite a personal thing, and I don't really want to share it with the world.  So for now, I am keeping them unlinked.  I will say that I have finally found what I was looking for all along.  The wholeness and warmth He provides is so incredible!

I am trying like heck to get back to Colorado before the ski season is gone.  If there is enough snow around here, I may go there too.  Time on the weekends is limited for me right now... I have some important stuff keeping me busy.

Upcoming:   I have some big news coming, but I am waiting for a bit to post it. :)  More pages to come...

March 17th, 2002:

Update:  I removed the "my house" section on my pictures page.  It's outdated now. Soon though I should have a new page up. :)

What's Been Goin On:  Hmmm where to start?  I can't!  So much has happened and so much is going on!  I have several pages to add, and hopefully soon I will have the time to add them and make some comments about what's been up in my life. ;)

Upcoming: The biggest thing I want to add is my pictures from skiing in Penn (not WV) and Colorado.  I think I found a new hobby! I LOVE IT!!!!!  When I can I will add the new house page. I have other things to add as I have time. (Yeah right) heh

Feb 27th, 2002:

Update:  I added 2 pages to the pictures page (scroll down to the bottom). One was to fulfill some requests and one was just a quickie that was easy. There are also some minor changes to some other pages that no one will notice. :)

What's Been Goin On:  I started typing a small paragraph about some religious stuff, but reconsidered and I may add it to the about me section soon. I have to think about it. ;)

Things have been really busy lately! It's been go go go. :) Sports, hiking, rollerblading, and friends. Woohoo! :) The weather has been PERFECT for outside fun!

Also I failed to qualify for the house I wanted to build. :( But Washington Homes says they are going to return my deposit back to me and I am looking at some other houses. :)

Upcoming: I will be going to New Orleans next week, then skiing two weekends in a row (one in West Virginia and one in Colorado), a trip to Denver for work in between and then a techie convention in DC.

I have MORE pictures to add from other things I have been doing. I can't promise when.... :)

Feb 20th, 2002:

Update:  I changed some things in the pictures page, friends page and the front page.

What's Been Goin On:  Well... I was contemplating on how/what to change on my page. I thought about removing some things, changing notations, etc. Part of me didn't want someone to think I was taking a "parting shot" by making the changes, yet the changes seemed like the appropriate thing to do. It shouldn't have mattered what that someone thought, but it did. Finally during a confidential discussion, someone from my new church suggested that I pray about it.

I have never prayed for an answer to anything. I had prayed for someone else's health, for someone else's difficulties, but nothing like this. It kinda seemed odd to me. Heck I'm not even sure that I am to the point where I have the right to pray for something like this... I still have a long way to go to call myself a Christian. I did it, and a strange thing happened. I not only got an answer to my question, I got some answers to other things that had been bothering me and I wasn't praying about. The answers aren't going to make things any easier, I'm still in the middle of some struggles, but it will help me deal with the struggles better.

There is hope for me yet :)

Upcoming: I have some pictures to add from things I have been doing. I will get to it when I can. :)

Feb 16th, 2002:

Update:  I added a new page to the pictures page. Carl and Deana got hitched! (scroll down to the bottom of the page)

What's Been Goin On:  I have some changes to make to the page regarding new twists in my life, hopefully I will get to it this week...

Upcoming: Lots of new directions in my life. I don't have the time to even start on it.

Jan 16th, 2002:

Update:  I added a new page to the pictures page.  I went hiking out in the Shenandoah Mountains, and we got treated to something neat! Take a peak. =)

What's Been Goin On:  Ok so I need to make a page for my house that is going to be built. (that's assuming that the builder gets off their butts and signs the contract!!) Yes I am struggling with the builder, they are a corporate nightmare...

Upcoming: I found some pictures from Flag Football in 2000... jeez where do I lose this stuff! OK so add that to my list of pages to do.. hehe

Jan 3rd, 2002:

Update:  I added last year's New Year's pictures and a New Orleans page from November to the pictures page. I know I know it's really late! (scroll down to the bottom). I also added a picture of  to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  Well!!! Again, a whole lot is going on! I have put a contract to buy a house and it is awesome! I can't wait till June :) The general page that you can see the house info here. :) I will have much more detail soon. This page doesn't have the extras that I picked (a porch and nice bump outs!). I will add info soon.

My new job at ADIC is going really well :) You can see some of my coworkers at this page.

Much more to come when I have more time. Things are a bit crazy right now :)

Upcoming: I still have a Williamsburg page to do! :)

Nov 8th, 2001:

Update:  I added 4 pages with 5 total pages of pictures to the pictures page. (scroll down to the bottom)

What's Been Goin On:  Whew, what hasn't been going on. It's been a while... First off, I have been spending alot of time with  and I am so happy. They are the most special people in the world. I am not going to blah blah too long here, I could for pages and bore you. :)

Also I have a new job. I start with ADIC tomorrow as a Systems Engineer. It's a change in a position that I have wanted to make for some time. It's a shame I had to change employers to do it... ADIC seems to be a great company though and I am excited!

There is plenty more to say and add, but I don't have the time/space to do it :) As the picture pages continue to pop up you will get the idea. :)

Upcoming: I still have New Years 2001, a New Orleans page, a Williamsburg page and more to do :)

April 26th, 2001:

Update:  I added the Minnesota Training page and Mike's Baseball page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  Not much changed in 2 days. :) Oh and don't expect any major changes to my web page for a bit. But when it does change, the page will probably move. :)

April 24th, 2001:

Update:  I added a new Wine Festival 2000 page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  Well things are going really well. SGI announced layoffs, but I think I'm ok, we will find out soon I hope. I have been talking to someone very special allot lately and I can't stop thinking about her! She and I are so similar in so many ways, I can't explain it. I will keep giving updates. :)

Upcoming: I am hoping to add some pictures from my trip to Minnesota in a few days, plus all the pages listed below and my nephews first Baseball game!!! (they won, even though they don't keep score)

April 16th, 2001:

Update:  I added a new Grand Canyon page to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  God, where do I start? Ok, the new job has been BUSY. Vicki is getting married! I'm gonna fly down to Thibodaux for the wedding in Sept. The biggest thing on my mind lately? I ran into someone that I hadn't talked to in a while recently and we have been catching up. :) I have a feeling I won't let her get too far away this time. *smile* More to come as things develop!

Upcoming: I have pictures to add from several things, including the recent Cherry Blossom Festival in Wash, DC., paintball, New Years 2001, and more...

January 16th, 2001:

Update:  No update besides here, gotta work on my New Years page when I have time.

What's Been Goin On:  I will be going to Phoenix for 3 weeks on Thursday. My new job is supposed to have a little more travel time. They said they will fly me home for the weekends if I want though. I might take them up on that a couple of weekends, but I might stay to check out Phoenix a weekend or two though. hehe

The job is not supposed to be a large increase, but we will see. If it gets out of hand, I will approach my new boss and remind him what his predecessor promised. Phoenix is actually good timing. I need to get away and see new places and do new things. :-) It will hurt my workout schedule a bit, but I injured my tricep (I think I slightly strained a tendon) and need to take it easy anyway. It's not bad, but it hurts enough for me to have to stop working out my chest and triceps. That's about it for now, I will take a camera or buy one and put pictures up of what I can. =)

Upcoming: I have pictures to add from New Years parties that I went to. I also will add pictures of Phoenix when I get time. I may cut a CD of my home copy of my site and work on the web page while I'm out there. Don't know what time I will have, I hear Phoenix is fun with lots to do. hehe ACK! That reminds me I gotta cut some audio CD's of music! See ya! got stuff to do!

December 29th, 2000:

Update:  Added a new Honda page for my new car to the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  I bought a car! hehe I didn't need the hatchback anymore so I bought a 4dr Sedan =) I am SOOO happy! I love it. I am putting my old Honda through a checkup and clean up, and will probably sell it. I'll post pictures up here in memory of it. hehe Heck 180,000 miles and no problems, why would I buy anything ELSE but a Honda Civic? Besides all that, I've been so busy I can't tell ya, but it's all good :-)

Upcoming: Still more pages to add... I am going to a couple of New Year's parties and will probably take a camera and take some pictures. I forgot to take pictures of my family over Christmas. *shrug*

December 19th, 2000:

Update:  Added a new Dewey Beach page to the pictures page. This is from Jen and I's trip to Dewey Beach this past summer.

What's Been Goin On:  Starting to prepare for my new position that I start in January.

Upcoming: Still more pages to add, no big plans for Christmas, so at least I won't get any more behind. Hmmm maybe I will take pictures of my family at Christmas... hehe

December 12th, 2000:

Update:  I have accepted a position with Professional Services within SGI. It's a great move up for me, and will keep me with a great company. =) Oh and I reorganized this page to make it easier to get to the new stuff.

What's Been Goin On:  Nothing that I want to really say, beside Happy Holidays. Things are going well :-)

Upcoming: *sigh* someday I will have time to add the rest of the pictures. hehe

Nov 28th, 2000:

Update:  Added the new Atlantic City 2000 page to the pictures page. *addendum* Fixed mistake in pictures page... accidentally put back an entry because of 2 different copies of the page at work and home. *fixed*

What's Been Goin On:  Things are humming along :) Being open and honest seems to have paid off... My boss and other coworkers are helping me find a new position within SGI (they say they don't want SGI to lose me, which makes me feel good *smile* ) I will add an update when I get a new position, inside or out of SGI.

Upcoming: I still have lots of pictures to add!

Sept 18th, 2000:

Update:  Changed the notation on a picture and added one in the pictures page.

What's Been Goin On:  Unfortunately Gwen and I didn't work out. No blame on anyone, I just think we weren't compatible. Our communications styles were different.

Upcoming: I still have lots of pictures to add.

August 30th, 2000:

Update:  I finally did the New Orleans page. Please forgive the lack of creativity.. I just DON'T have time for anything! Work, travel, football, girlfriend, NO time. (but I'm not complaining, hehe.)

What's Been Goin On:  What isn't going on. I am going on vacation next week. I get to meet Gwenifer's parents, her brother, and her other friends still in Reno. hehe :) Hey Sandra ;)

Upcoming: I still have some pictures from New Years (Yea old), Wine Fest 2000, California, but just as before, no promises on time frame.

August 1st, 2000:

Update:  I have added a picture of my sweetie! Check out Gwenifer's picture on the pictures page. We were in New Orleans last week and I *finally* caught her while she was shopping in the French Market! She was a little camera shy. hehe Her real name is Jennifer, but I know SO many of them, Jim gave her the nickname Gwenifer and it has stuck... I couldn't help but laugh when Bryce and John started calling her Gwenifer.. hehe.

     What's Been Goin On:  EverCRACK

Upcoming: Lots more pictures from New Orleans.. as well as some from New Years (Yea old), Wine Fest 2000, California, and others I forget. Don't ask for an ETA, you wont get one!

May 2nd, 2000:

Update:  I have added a hidden page. The only way to it is if you know the file name. It is an acronym that only one person will know i.e. if the acronym was As Soon As Possible the page would be: asap.html. If you don't know what I'm talking about you will never get it...It is sort of a poem... actually more just rambling thoughts put in phrase form. It's been there for a few days and it is very dark :( I have debated about whether to mention it at all. I need to forget and move on.

     What's Been Goin On:  *sigh*

Upcoming: Don't know what is upcoming...

April 28th, 2000:

Update:  Something has happened and I am rethinking my nickname. My permanent Email to everyone has it though. Oh well... I added someone to my friends list (near bottom) and removed it... it's gone...

What's Been Goin On:  God, if only I could explain...

Upcoming: I have no idea. I can't remember... don't care.

Upcoming: I still have a more to do. I really need to reorganize the whole site!

Update: Ok, so the last one wasn't my last update... hehe I really need to redo my site completely, but the time just isn't there for me to do it. Anyway, I added a new page of pictures. :) Check out my Water! page :) I will add more pages from my Wisconsin trip very soon. I was under the gun to add this page so Darcy could get mad at me for the pictures :) I also made some adjustments to my friends page.

Upcoming: Pictures! The Wisconsin page will include a Minnesota page, a SGI/Wisconsin page and the Water page that is already up. I also have the Loray Caverns pictures from when Vicki, Jim and I went. I will add pictures from our trip to the antique automobile museum. And even more pictures from when Vicki and I went to Washington DC and the same trails that Steff and I went to :) I also have pictures from the house I live in... the property, the inside and some cool pictures of a pack of deer (all bucks!) that went through our property.
