Let's be tourists in Colorado. hehe

We checked out the sites in the mountains when we needed a rest from skiing.   :)

An old mining town.

While we were in the mountains, we had to visit some of the quaint little mining towns.  They had plenty of character and food.

Another mining town.

One of the old building in Idaho Springs.

In Idaho Springs we went to eat lunch at Beau Jo's Pizza and check out the antique stores.  It was a cute little town!

Main street.

An old football game.

Frozen water fall in Idaho Springs.

We had to go see a real live gold mine of course!  Mike, the guy who gave us the tour, was really nice and even gave us some rocks with gold flakes in them.

The Pheonix Gold Mine.

Mike. :)

In the mine they had a room that was commonly called the "Healing Chamber".  Apparently there are some real healing abilities in the rocks that help a miner recover from work or injury.

The healing room.

The door to the deeper mines.

Mike explaining how they mine.

The lucky bucket that the miners

 touch for good luck.

Ray Anderson fell down here...

Oh no!  Ok so it's not real.  hehe

A map of the mine.
